NewmanCatholic College

A UNICEF Rights Respecting School

Welcome

“Everyone Counts, Everyone Contributes, Everyone Succeeds”.

I am proud to welcome you to Newman Catholic College. We are an inclusive Catholic school, where we aim to nurture the individual attributes of our students to ensure they excel academically, but also develop as individuals. Faith is important to all of our students: Everyone counts. We celebrate all faiths and cultures in our diverse and welcoming school.

Our focus on the individual is reflected in the quality of our pastoral care. Relationships are at the heart of our work, and that includes creating strong relationships with home to best support our students’ development. Everyone contributes to our young people’s achievements.

Our curriculum offers a wide menu of experiences for students, delivered by highly qualified and experienced teachers. We maintain smaller than average class sizes to maximise support for students. As a result, our Progress 8 score is consistently above the national average. Consequently, our students, regardless of their starting points, make good progress at Newman.

Many students who choose to study here do so for seven years, opting to join NCC 6th. Our Key Stage 5 provision is a specialist centre for vocational learning. Our expertise in vocational education is reflected in our outstanding results driven by expert teachers. We are also a part of the local consortium for A-Levels, offering a broad range of curriculum choices.

We are proud of our school, and encourage any prospective parents to contact us to arrange a student-led tour of the school during a working school day. We believe that you will see our values reflected in the attitude, dedication and care of our staff and students to ensure that everyone succeeds.
