Remote Learning
If Newman Catholic College has to be closed due to severe weather, health and safety, COVID-19 or for any other reason, we will publish any closures on our website www.ncc.brent.sch.uk and on our social media platforms Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Our tag is @nccbrent please follow us to keep up to date with all our news. At the same time we will text and email parents whose contact details are on the schools information system. Please ensure your contact information is always up to date.
In the event of a closure, work for the classes will be placed on Google Classroom which is our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) online platform for learning.
In the event of any unforseen closure, Google Classroom will be used by staff to
- Set classwork or homework
- Assist in home study
- Upload lesson materials
- Upload assignments and assessments
- Access links to subject and qualification videos, documents or materials
- Provide wider insight and activities to deepen learning
