We started the day with a visit and guided tour of the Grand Mosque of Rome which is the largest mosque in Europe. After this we visited the Pantheon which is a former Roman Temple but is now a church. Students were fascinated by the open dome in the roof, especially as it was raining and water was coming in. We then visited San Giovanni in Laterno which is the cathedral of the Diocese of Rome and is the church of the Pope. We then went to the Swiss Guard Barracks, where we were given a tour and a visit to their armoury by Dominic who is a Swiss Guard.
